Assignment 7: Post your photographer
Steve McCurry is very big name photographer and best known for his portraits of various different people around the world. The camera that he is currently using and favorites is Nikon D2Xs, he says "the controls, the dial, the menu are very logical" and is very pleased with Nikon's durability. McCurry's personal favorite Nikon lens are very specific and really likes them for there sharpness and colour quality. For his common portraiture shots, he uses the Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D because of it's speed and clarity. For more scene shots and precision framing, a zoom lens that he sticks with is the Nikkor 17–55mm f/2.8G.

Assignment 2: Photographers
Commercial Pursuit Photographer:
Michael Lavine
This photographer started photographer when he was young and was head yearbook photographer at his high school in Denver, Colorado. When he was eighteen, he studied photography at the Evergreen State University and then moved to New York City to attend the Parsons school of design. Lavine soon later took an internship with a fashion photographer named Francesco Scavullo. He finished up being with Scavullo and went on to become a more rock and roll photographer. He has spent a lot of career taking photographs of different musicians and their album art. He now has a family and is currently working in SoHo, NY where he is producing images with lots of colour, props and modern day celebrities.
Commersial Artistic Photographer:
Chris Jordan grew up in Connecticut beside his father, who also enjoyed the hobby of photography. He originally had the plan to attend US Santa Barbara to study music but ended up transferring to University of Texas at Austin to be with his wife and study law. While attending school, he invested most of his extra time and money in the hobby of photography. He then, ten years later, discontinued he job of a lawyer and started his dream career as a photographer. Major art shows in New York and LA really jump started his career and throughout it, Jordan specialized in photographs of garbage and mass consumption.
